Treat Back Pain At Home

If we define back pain, in simple words it is the physical discomfort or aches occurring anywhere on the spine or back. It generally ranges from mild to disabling. It is absolutely necessary to cure back pain. It is always suggested to take action in the mild stage itself to avoid further adverse consequences. If not cured right, this pain can go a long way.

Types of back pain:
You know what as a layman, we identify back pain just to be it.🤔But it is actually of two types:
Acute Back pain

Acute low back pain is often caused by a sudden injury to the muscles and ligaments which support the back. The pain caused maybe by muscle spasms or a strain. Or it can be from tears in the muscles and ligaments.
Examples include overuse; such as working out, lifting too much. Prolonged sitting and lying down, not sleeping in a comfortable position, or wearing a poorly fitted back-pack.

Chronic Back Pain

Chronic back pain is defined as pain that continues for 12 weeks or longer, basically, back pain that lasts for a longer period of time, even after an initial injury or the underlying cause of acute back pain has been treated well.
Chronic pain is usually less directly related to identifiable tissue damage and structural problems. Chronic back pain without a clearly determined cause of failed back surgery syndrome (continued pain after the surgery has completely healed), and fibromyalgia are all examples of chronic pain. Chronic pain is much less well understood than acute pain.
According to the conventional ideas of pain, once the underlying cause is treated and the injured tissue heals; the pain is expected to stop, However, chronic pain can persist after injuries heal for no apparent biological cause.

Know This:
About 20 percent of people affected by acute low back pain develop chronic low back pain with persistent symptoms at one year.

Let’s get started. Please continue reading.

Tips To Prevent Back Pain
Carry Less When You Can
Avoid carrying too-heavy-to-carry briefcases, huge laptop bags, suitcases, and purses. These activities can add unnecessary strain to your neck and spine.

Always make a habit to reduce what you need to carry, and try to use bags that distribute the weight more evenly, such as a backpack. You can also use a bag with wheels to keep weight off your back entirely. Always remember, Baby steps go a long way.
Work Your Core
The muscles of your abdomen and back help keep you upright. These muscles are responsible for carrying you through physical activities. Strengthening them can reduce the chances of pain, strain, or damage to your back. Plug strength-training workouts with a core focus into a regular fitness routine at least twice a week. Improve Your Body Posture
Stress. Pain. Damage.
Poor posture puts unnecessary pressure and strain on your spine. Avoid wrong body postures. They harm more than you notice. Given the consequences of the so-called urban and sedentary lifestyle, we are prone to be less flexible already. Wrong body postures gift unnecessary stress to your muscles and joints. Bad Posture puts stress on the muscles, joints, and ligaments.❌Over time, this can cause pain and damage to the back, neck, and shoulder.
Just a slight change in your body posture can save you from some serious complications. And as they say, prevention is better than cure. Regularly remind yourself to roll back the rounded shoulders and sit upright in your chair.
Change Your Shoes
High-heeled shoes and red-lips might portray a high-end lifestyle. But shoes that are not comfortable to wear are likely to cause damage to your back if you wear them very frequently. Pick comfortable, low-heeled shoes when you can. One inch is a maximum heel height suggestion on a regular basis.
Stretch More Often
Doing the same thing every day may leave your muscles fatigued; more apt to strain. Stretch regularly to help improve circulation. It lowers the risk of back pain and damage.
